New Breeding Request Limit
A new breeding request limit has been implemented. The Guide on Breeding has been updated to reflect this new information. Here's an excerpt of what's been added:
"Limit On Requests
Each user has 2 breeding request "tickets" per week - 1 Personal Breeding Ticket and 1 Outside Breeding Ticket.
A new week starts every monday and unused request tickets from a previous week cannot be transferred over to the new week.
The Personal Ticket can be used for a breeding among your very own 'gir or for a Broodery breeding. If you do not wish to participate in either, you can swap your Personal Ticket out for a second Outside Ticket instead.
The Outside Ticket can be used on a breeding between another person's 'gir and your own. You only ever need 1 Outside Ticket for an Outside Breeding, so either of the two users must decide who spends their Ticket. You can only turn a Personal Ticket into an Outside Ticket, but never the other way around."
All users who have received eggs from 'gir born this week are considered to have "used up" their Tickets already and will have to wait till Monday for 2 new Tickets. Anyone else can apply for breedings with the new system already, unless you'll be told otherwise per e-mail (Oshi).
Creating some sort of breeding request limit has long been the plan and the amount of requests for this week made it clear that it was time for one. It is important to note that no one is at fault for the existence of this new limit. Anywhere from 30 to 70 'gir are born each week, the requests of users just add up and each "batch" of offspring born was larger than the previous.
We'd reached a point where the time I had to work on Pumdragir was time spent exclusively on creating breedings and nothing else. There's old suggested markings to create, this month's Nest-eggs to look into and another thing or two for 'gir, but without a limit to breedings I wouldn't be able to do any of those.
The limit itself is far from the average active user's amount of requests, certainly, but I'm afraid that this was the best option I had after looking into certain trends and making a few calculations. If it helps any, I'd like to say that while breeding is currently the only activity of Pumdragir, it will not always remain so. Eventually we'll have some item finding and craftables, at any rate.
