Armored Pumdragir
Height: 190 cm. male, 180 cm. female
Average Weight: 340 kg. male, 310 kg. female
Population: Unknown
Clutch Size: 3-4 eggs
Locations: We're currently gathering information on this. It's hard to say, they fly around so much.

All 'gir are part dragon, but the Armored are the ones who have the most in common with their ancestors: genetically, physically and magically. Like dragons they have thick scales that are almost impossible to penetrate, the ability to breathe fire and... a great appreciation for valuables.

It is not uncommon for members of the breed to have no gathering and instead lend their services to caravans, couriers or settlements in exchange for raw materials, spices, jewellery or other valuables. They pride themselves on never breaking a contract, but they will not stand meekly by if an employer decides to dishonour it.

Valuables are hoarded away in caches and might be spent later, if at all. As a rule no member of the breed will ever ask another where they store their valuables. It is considered a grave insult to intentionally seek out another's storages and an even greater one to try and steal from them.

In gatherings the breed can often be found as warriors, hunters or teachers for either. This does not mean that they will not occupy other positions however. They respect that all 'gir are not suited for combat and they would rather see 'gir who can contribute in other areas than 'gir who are ill-suited for their tasks. There is no shame in an Armored who does not fight.

The breed treats the remaining dragons with respect for the blood they share, but are cautious around them. One too many Armored has had their hoard taken by someone bigger and stronger than them...

They have good relations with all 'gir breeds except the Swamp. Traditional Swamps look down on a breed whose members might as well fly from place to place as to join or establish a gathering.

The ability to turn any 'gir into an Armored is appreciated by all but the Swamps as well. Becoming less suspectible to disease and almost physically invulnerable would be a dream for many, but each Swamp that turns into an Armored is one less Swamp to carry on the breed.

Transformed 'gir are taken care of by a member who was born into the species and can teach them the ropes. 'Gir who were not born Armored never feel the need to hoard valuables, have trouble learning to breathe fire and take a long while getting used to their body's changes.
