A few 'gir are born with the most peculiar traits or spontaneously develope them in adulthood. Observations have shown that these traits can be carried down through the bloodline, but more often than not the original 'gir have no history of such anywhere in their lineage. One of the more popular theories nowadays refers to the 'gir's dragon ancestry.
Glow
Some 'gir seem to have a faint glow around them, emitting from within.
Glowing markings
One or more markings on a 'gir may glow softly.
Aura
A few 'gir have an aura of power around them. It is not always visible, but it is felt at all times. At critical moments it manifests visually as ethereal flames of various colours. Not even the 'gir know why this happens or what decides who has an aura and who doesn't.
Alternate markings
From time to time a 'gir will sport a markings that is similar to, but slightly deviates from a marking seen before.
Unique markings
Other 'gir sport wholly different, unique markings.
Alternate poses
Certain male and female Common 'gir have shown to have a different posture and deviate slightly from the norm. These tend to either have no markings at all or to have alternate markings instead.
Black kits
There are 'gir who are hatched a shade of black, no matter the colours of their parents or their siblings. The reason behind this has yet to be discovered and there is little known of the reason for it. Some say these 'gir are harbingers of terrible events to come, some that they have been marked to do great deeds in their future and others that they are simply unlucky 'gir but no more special than others. Nobody knows for sure.
Multi-coloured leaves
One can find 'gir whose leaves are two or more different colours.
Mushrooms
Occasionally a 'gir is seen to spontaneously grow mushrooms in its adulthood.
Flowers
Some 'gir have flowers growing on their bodies.
